Bill Pay

Affording speed, convenience, and security, this service allows you to pay all your bills with the click of a mouse. There are no hours spent writing checks. No postage stamps. No trips to the post office. Instead, just click your way to bill-paying simplicity.

HOW IT WORKS

Using Bill Pay is a simple step-by-step process:

Once you've logged on to SMCU OnLine, click the "Bill Pay" tab.
Review the terms and click on "I Agree."
To get started, click on "Payee Setup." Enter the biller name, address, phone number, and account number, and indicate which account you want debited. You can then begin paying bills immediately.
Each time you receive a bill in the mail, simply go back to Bill Pay and click on "Make Payments." Choose the bill you want to pay, and indicate the amount of your payment and the date you want it processed.
Your bills are paid in one of two ways: via an electronic Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment or by check. Your creditors determine their method of preference.

We'll take care of getting your bills paid, and you'll still have the originals to keep on file. The process is fast and convenient, and offers the kind of security you expect from your credit union. The most advanced technology available safeguards communication between your browser and SMCU, so your information cannot be accessed by anyone else.

WHAT IT DOES

Just take a look at all the functions you can perform with Bill Pay:

Add/Edit Payees: Payees are the entities to which you pay bills. They can be companies, organizations, or individuals. The Add/Edit Payee feature allows you to add and delete payees from your personal list, or make any necessary changes to payee information.
Make payments from your checking account:. This feature allows you to schedule one-time payments to payees. You specify the amount of the payment and the processing date, and we'll make sure the payments are made.
Make recurring payments from your checking account:. You can also schedule recurring payments to payees — your mortgage, car payment, insurance — any fixed amount that you pay on a regular basis.
View Payment History: This feature allows you to review your history and activity over a specified time period-the past week, month, or up to three months.
