San Mateo Credit Union seeks to model sustainability with the installation of our solar rooftop system, one of many ongoing initiatives to reduce our resource consumption and contribute to our community.
The installation was commissioned in December of 2010. Each year this installation reduces over 60 metric tons of CO2(e), equal to taking 10 passenger vehicles off the road each year or equal to 8 acres of US forest lands. Over the life of the system, San Mateo Credit Union will offset the effects of over 136,000 gallons of gasoline. If you want to learn more, go to: smcusolarcasestudy.com and read our full case study.
