We’re 60 years old this year. And we’re proud of it. Proud that we’ve been serving our members since the days when we started in a humble closet in the County Courthouse. Quite a modest start to an institution with over 71,000 members and almost $700 million in assets. It surprises us sometimes.
In honor of the occasion, we thought it would be a good idea this year to describe what’s at our core. We are our members, of course, because we are a credit union. But we have a set of values that make us who we are.
Things are worth what they seem. A loan is priced fairly as it should be.
We’ve always opted for good old-fashioned common sense in everything we do.
We take the long view. There’s a lot of common wisdom around here.
It’s not enough to be empathetic with a member. It takes actions, too.
We don’t lend your money out for funny things. We don’t think that’s right.
We know we live in tough times, and we’ve got a place designed for these times.
