Branch Appointments:
We have implemented a branch appointment form for transactions like: loan applications, new certificates and other member service requests. Appointments are available Monday – Friday: 10am – 3pm at various branch locations. 
Fill out the form and a branch representative will reach out at the number provided to schedule your appointment.

Contact Center:
Our Contact Center is available Monday - Friday: 8am-6pm and Saturday: 9am-3pm. Our Call-24 automated telephone banking is also available at (844) 518-0515.

We are taking the proper precautions and making efforts to support your health and safety needs. This includes:
 
  • We are adhering to social distancing guidelines by reducing the number of members in the branches at one time and ensuring members are safely distanced.
  • We introduced additional procedures to our already rigorous cleaning and sanitizing schedule at branches and ATMs and hand sanitizer has been supplied at every location.
  • We strongly encourage members to submit loan and membership applications online and by phone in lieu of coming to a branch. Loans will continue to be funded in-branch.
Rest assured, we are taking these proactive measures to ensure everyone’s health and safety while maintaining our commitment to providing uninterrupted service.

Dear Member,

At San Mateo Credit Union, we are continuing to monitor developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the shelter at home direction from our local, state and federal authorities. While we remain open, we have implemented protocols at our branches to ensure the safety of our members and staff as we continue to monitor the situation.

Changes to branch hours

Effective Monday, March 23, 2020, our temporary branch hours at our open locations will be:

Weekdays: 10am - 4pm
Saturdays: Closed


Please visit a branch only when necessary. In addition, we will be increasing social distancing by limiting the number of members in a branch at one time.
Our Half Moon Bay and Westlake branches remain closed. Please visit our branch status page on our website for up-to-date branch availability information. Our open branches are being regularly sanitized and we are following the latest public health protocols and directives to keep our employees and members safe.
 

Access to your money

The safest and easiest way to access your money 24 hours a day during this time is through our mobile and online banking services. If you do not have the SMCU Mobile App, now is a good time to download our app or sign up for online banking. SMCU also offers Call-24 Telephone Banking, an automated phone system to check balances, transfer funds, make a loan payment and much more at (844) 518-0515 and our Contact Center is available to serve your needs Monday – Friday 8AM to 6PM and Saturday 9AM to 3PM. You can meet nearly all your financial needs without leaving your home. If you do need cash, our extensive network of free ATMs can be found at our website. If you need a new or replacement SMCU credit or debit card you can pick one up at one of our branches.

There are a lot of things to worry about these days, but the safety of your money in your credit union isn’t one of them. Your money is safe, and your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000.

As a reminder, if we reach out to you, we will never ask for confidential information such as your name, password, personal identification number (PIN) or other account information. The best practice in avoiding scams is to not click on any links in emails you were not expecting, or you did not request, and be wary of requests for money or personal information.
