TransferNow: External Transfers Transfer between your SMCU accounts and your accounts at other financial institutions.
Money Link Users
Please note that if you previously used Money Link for external transfers, you will need to re-establish your external accounts inside TransferNow. Money Link will no longer be available after May 31. If you have accounts at another bank or credit union, you can easily set up those accounts so that you can transfer funds between them and the accounts you have at SMCU. It’s faster, easier, safer, and far more convenient than sending a paper check.
To use TransferNow, sign in to SMCU Online Banking, click on the "Transfers" tab, click "External Account Transfers," then follow the directions. If you have questions about this service, please call us at (650) 363-1725. TransferNow is not available for business accounts. See TransferNow limits and fees for complete details.
Account Activity AlertsSet them and get them: Account Alerts for debit and credit cards.Staying on top of your account activity isn’t always easy. So SMCU offers free Account Alerts—a convenient way to safeguard your finances and protect against fraud. By setting up one or more of the Account Alerts below, you’ll receive an email or text message (your choice) when certain transactions are performed or changes in your account occur. That way if there’s a transaction you don’t recognize, you can let us know right away. Please Note: Different Account Alerts are available from different SMCU partners and you may need to create an account with those partners to access the alerts. Follow the instructions below to set your alerts today! You can sign up for as many as you’d like based on the accounts and cards you have. ![]() Debit Card Alerts from CO-OP – Keep track of your Debit Card activity, including purchases made in store, online, or through various merchant types. To set these alerts, click the button to visit the CO-OP Alerts website. You will need to create an account on the CO-OP site to gain access to the alerts – look for the "Sign Up" button at the top right of the screen. ![]() Credit Card Purchase Alerts from Visa® – When your purchase exceeds a specific amount, when your card is used outside the U.S., or when a purchase is made by phone or online, you can receive an alert. To set these alerts, click the button to visit the Visa Purchase Alerts website. You will need to create an account on the Visa site to gain access to the alerts – look for the "Create Account" button at the top right of the screen. Enroll in Visa Purchase Alerts
![]() Credit Card Fraud Alerts – If there is any suspicious activity on your SMCU credit card, these alerts can notify you right away. Then you can take action immediately – either by interacting with the system on the phone or by texting a command. To set these alerts, log in in to Online Banking and click on your Credit Card account, go the "Communications" tab then click on "Fraud Alerts." ![]() SMCU Account Alerts – you decide what type of activity you want us to monitor for any of your accounts: Checking, Savings, Money Market, Share Certificates, Health Savings, and Credit Cards. Enrolling is quick and easy, and just takes a minute. You will need your member number, your social
security number and your date of birth. You

Bill Pay does not work on my Apple computer. Can I still use Bill Pay? Apple does not enable third party cookies in its Safari browsers. Because of this you may find that portions of SMCU OnLine—such as the Bill Pay tab—may not be visible to you. Add smcu.org to the Compatibility View List. Read instructions on how to add a website to the Compatibility View List. Another option may be to use a different browser such as FireFox or Google Chrome. Why can't I enroll my business account? In order to enroll a business account you must first have an
